For the past two weeks we have been in Fairmont Hot Springs. This is our last chapter in Canada, so we decided to come back to spend time with our Canadian friends who live here. We have had so much fun! Here are my highlights.
Going boating on Columbia Lake: Our friends have a fast fizz boat with a sea biscuit. One morning we woke up and it was really hot and sunny, so we decided to go out on the boat. The lake was huge and blue and quite cold. We had a blast on the biscuit. I even got some air and went a metre above the water!

Tubing: Canadians love tubing down rivers. They blow up big plastic tyres and float from one end to the other. One sunny day we did a float with our friends. It was so much fun! We ate yummy snacks and pulled in to little beaches along the way.

Hiking in the Rocky Mountains: One morning my Dad woke me up at 6am to go on a 2-hour hike up the mountain behind our cabin. My Dad and I got all of our gear sorted and went for it. Halfway up the mountain the mosquitoes started biting us really badly. We stuck it out for about 10 minutes but it was really annoying, so we decided to turn back early.

Hot pools: Just 15 minutes walk up behind our cabin was 5 luke-warm hot pools with a waterfall that makes them warm. The thing I like about it is on a hot sunny day they are the perfect temperature for swimming, and there are beautiful views of the mountain to look at.

Friends: On a Saturday night we went to our friends' house for dinner. They have a trampoline, nerf guns and mountain bikes. First we played with the Nerf guns and played Fortnite in real life. When we got bored of it we played on the mountain bikes. After that we had some dinner, and then we went home to bed.
We will miss Fairmont and Canada so much! On Saturday we fly out to Indonesia.

Its amazing the wilderness adventures you are having. I would love the tubing and that lukewarm waterfall pool and the mountain views....right up my alley.
Its great that you have made friends in Canada and I did hear a whisper that they may be coming to NZ to visit next March! Even better!
By now you will be in Indonesia and starting your next adventure .........a different kind and Pop and I look forward to updates from there. XX
This is awesome Arlo, did you make this friends at the start of your trip or did you already know them?
I loved biscuiting on our boat when I was exactly your age not sure I would have been keen to go 1 metre in the air though 😅🤣.
Can not believe your Canada chapter has come to an end . I look forward to hearing about what you get up to on your next adventure ☺️
