The sea creatures of Vancouver Island

For the past three weeks we have been living right on the beach in a place called Bowser. There is a tonne of sea creatures living on the beach and in the bay here. Here are some of my favourites.

SEALS: I love seals but they make a lot of noise! They swim in front of the beach right in front of us, you can hear them in the morning saying 'ohp, ohp, ohp'.

DOLPHINS: Next are dolphins. One morning we saw a pod of dolphins swimming in the bay. They even had babies with them! They were munching on fish and playing with eachother.

FISH: Then there is the fish. Dad always spots them in the bay while he is paddling the kayak. All of the kids run to see the big work-ups. Sometimes you can even see their tails splashing.

BALD EAGLES: Last are the eagles. There is a Mum and a Dad and they also have babies, living in a next right above our cabin! I love watching them feed their babies from our deck.

Soon we are leaving Vancouver Island to go back to Fairmont Hot Springs for two weeks.

Lovely to read about all the sea creatures near your little coastal cabin. Always love to watch the dolphins. Your mum jumped off Pops boat in the Bay of Islands once and went swimming with the dolphins and once we were surrounded by dolphins and your dad fed them from the bow of the boat with fish we had caught. Ask them to tell you about it. Hope you get to see the Orcas as well. Love your photos too. Big hugs from Gran and Pop x.
