The grizzly bear family

We have been in Fairmont Hot Springs for two weeks. There is a family of deer living in our backyard. Soon the bears will wake up. This is my story about a grizzly bear family in Canada.
Once upon a time there was a family of grizzly bears who lived in the Rocky Mountains. There was a mummy, a daddy and three babies.
After the winter hibernation the family was very hungry so one of the babies went to go find berries. All the berries were up the hill, so he went up. Then a mountain lion saw him!
He was so scared so he called for his mum but nobody answered. The mountain lion came closer, he was ready for a snack.
The little bear ran down the hill. He was very scared. Soon he saw his family. He gave the berriers to his mummy and she cooked a pie. She was very happy with him. The little bear ate half of the pie. It was very yummy and he was so happy to be safe and full.
All those wild animals around you are amazing. I guess you have to remember that they can also be dangerous and I know you will be careful. Those bears in the den in your picture will all be waking from their hibernation now and I bet they’re very very hungry. I like the sound of berry pie. When I was young my mum used to make blackberry and apple pie and we used to pick the blackberries from the side of the hill where we lived.

If I was a grizzly bear I'd move into that cozy hut you made and eat the crumbs from your dinner. Much nicer than the snow.
Wow what beautiful writing, Heidi! You'll have to update us about any signs you see of bears waking up from hibernation in your area. Maybe some footprints? Or leftovers from their snacks? What an exciting thing to be living in a real life 'bear hunt' all the time!
