The grizzly bear family

We have been in Fairmont Hot Springs for two weeks. There is a family of deer living in our backyard. Soon the bears will wake up. This is my story about a grizzly bear family in Canada.

My brothers and I made a grizzly bear hut outside our house. Dad let us eat our dinner inside it at night. It was so fun.

Once upon a time there was a family of grizzly bears who lived in the Rocky Mountains. There was a mummy, a daddy and three babies.

This is my picture of the grizzly bear family living in the forest in their den.

After the winter hibernation the family was very hungry so one of the babies went to go find berries. All the berries were up the hill, so he went up. Then a mountain lion saw him!

Sometimes I go running with my mummy. If we see a bear we have to stop running. If we keep running the bear will try to chase us and attack us.

He was so scared so he called for his mum but nobody answered. The mountain lion came closer, he was ready for a snack.

This is a photo of my Dad and me going hiking in Kootenay National Park. Dad took his bear spray and kept on the lookout for bears.

The little bear ran down the hill. He was very scared. Soon he saw his family. He gave the berriers to his mummy and she cooked a pie. She was very happy with him. The little bear ate half of the pie. It was very yummy and he was so happy to be safe and full.
